The School of Health and Society is the largest school at the University of Salford, bringing together four Directorates across a wide range of health and social science disciplines. We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Administrative Support Worker to join our Professional Services team.
This is a part-time role (16 hours per week) predominantly on campus at the University of Salford Allerton Building and is designed to provide dedicated, day-to-day administrative support to an academic member of staff. The postholder will play a key role in enabling effective teaching, research and wider academic activity, including supporting a blind member of staff by ensuring information, materials and systems are accessible and well organised.
Key responsibilities include:
You will work closely with the academic member of staff, programme administration teams and other Professional Services colleagues across the School, helping to navigate systems, manage information and maintain effective organisation of teaching, research and administrative activities.
About you:
You will be well organised, reliable and able to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail. Strong communication skills, confidence using digital systems, and a commitment to inclusive and accessible working practices are essential. Experience in an administrative role within a higher education or professional environment would be advantageous.
