We wish to appoint a Lecturer within the School of Computer Science. You will be a scholar with a growing international research reputation in Computer Science and a commitment to delivering high-quality teaching within the broad field of Human Computer Interaction (HCI).
We are seeking a collegial individual who values teaching and research, to support the expansion and development of the HCI group. Applications welcome from all areas of HCI from candidates with diverse research portfolios that span the areas of HCI, Design and Computer Science. Particular areas of interest include, but are not limited to: tangible computing, digital fabrication, ubiquitous computing, information visualization, creative technology and design, augmented reality, novel software and hardware interactions, and HCI for good including ‘wicked’ problems such as societal injustices and inequalities, data ethics & privacy and environmental sustainability. Expertise in the field of HCI and technical expertise in the creation of hardware and or software interactions is of particular interest.
Candidates should hold a PhD in a cognate discipline. Excellent teaching skills and an interest in promoting knowledge exchange are essential. You should also have some familiarity with grant seeking processes in relation to research councils and other sources.
