Location: Central Cambridge
The Patil Lab is looking for a Research Assistant to work on an experimental evolution project. The project is funded by Wellcome Leap Inc. and the successful candidate will work under supervision of a Research Associate and the Prinical Investigator.
We are looking for someone who is educated to a Master's Degree level in Microbiology or in another relevant subject area (e.g Biological Sciences). Experience in anaerobic cultivation of gut bacteria is essential. Independence is expected for routine microbiological and aseptic techniques. The Patil Lab is home to many international researchers, and the successful candidate is expected work in an interdisciplinary environment.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available from 1st May 2026 until 1st March 2027, in the first instance.
