We wish to appoint two Associate Lecturers (Education Focused) in Ancient History and Archaeology within the School of Classics from 1st September 2026. One post will be for two years, the other for one year.
The successful candidates will be required to teach Ancient History and Archaeology on our Undergraduate and Taught Masters programmes, with a focus on the Roman period. Excellent teaching skills and an interest in promoting knowledge exchange are essential. The ability to contribute to teaching on an Honours module on Classical Collections (Catalogue - Subjects - University of St Andrews) would be a strength.
A good Honours degree and a PhD in a relevant field are prerequisites for this role. These lectureships will be an ideal springboard into a University level career.
