Location: Harrow Weald and Harrow-on-the-Hill Campuses
We are seeking to appoint two full time Lecturers and one part time Lecturer to deliver GCSE and Functional Skills English within our cross-College provision, primarily to vocational learners aged 16-18. This is a rewarding area of the College, and you would play a key role in supporting our vocational learners with their development and to help them progress onto higher courses or the workplace.
You will preferably possess a degree or equivalent in English or a related subject area (or a Level 3 qualification plus proven successful experience of teaching English/Literacy/ESOL/EFL for at least 2 years). You will have experience of teaching/tutoring GCSE, Functional Skills English, ESOL, EFL or literacy, and have the ability to engage and enthuse 16- to 18-year-olds from a variety of vocational disciplines. You will either possess a Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector, or be willing to undertake teacher training, supported by the College. You must be able to teach one evening per week (Thursdays) until 9.00pm.
