We have an exciting opportunity for a Knowledge Exchange (KE) Support Officer to join the University’s Research and Innovation (RI) Directorate.
The KE Support Officer provides KE administrative support for key initiatives within Research and Innovation, including support to colleagues across the department in co-ordinating funding enquiries, funding opportunities, training and development opportunities for staff and ongoing project management.
The role will provide professional project support to academics throughout the full project lifecycle - from costing support, maximising grant funding awarded and ensuring compliance with funding guidelines from point of application, through award and with post-project closedown.
You will have experience of project administration within the Higher Education research funding environment, along with demonstrable knowledge of funding body audit requirements.
With a degree or equivalent qualification in a finance-related subject, or significant demonstrable experience, you will have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to work to strict deadlines and meet targets.
You will also have excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams and advanced Excel.
We offer an excellent employment package, including hybrid working, blending a mix of remote and on-campus working (dependent on work duties).
The University is deeply committed to equality and diversity for all its students and staff. We seek to be diverse and inclusive, supporting individuals and groups to fulfil their potential and nurture a sense of belonging. We strive to be an accessible, inclusive employer, removing barriers for all. Find out more about our approach to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, including our commitments and accreditations as a Disability Confident Employer, Stonewall Gold Award holder, Top 100 Employer, Athena SWAN Bronze Award holder and Race Equality Charter Bronze Award holder.
