Over the last five years, ULMS has engaged in extensive recruitment of academic and professional services staff, expanding into a state-of-the-art extension, including a trading room. The School has 230 faculty, 60% international, supported by 80 professional services colleagues.

The Economics Group comprises 44 faculty members and 20 PhD students. The Group delivers specialist undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Economics and Business Economics, and contributes to the School’s other programmes. Members of the group regularly publish in top-5 general interest economics journals and leading field journals. The group makes world-class contributions to significant policy issues with high impact, including advice on trade policy, monetary policy, and industrial policy in collaboration with local government and national and international policy institutions. Members of the group are closely involved in several interdisciplinary research centres, notably the Liverpool Advanced Methods for Big Data Analytics (LAMBDA) Research Centre.

We are seeking a Lecturer in Econometrics or Applied Microeconomics to help continue build our growing strength and reputation, both in terms of research and teaching. You will possess a relevant PhD (or near completion), have research with clear potential to be published world-leading output, and be able to evidence future research plans consistent with a sustained high level of academic publications. You should have excellent teaching credentials, and be able to teach on both undergraduate and postgraduate economics programmes.

The position is permanent subject to satisfactory completion of a three-year probationary period.
