The Department of English seeks to appoint part-time Research Assistant to support a funded research project titled “Phraseology, imagery and effectiveness of type 2 diabetes public health messaging in a sample British/South Asian community.”
The Research Assistant will be responsible for travelling to the research site and for the advertisement, recruitment, organisation, facilitation, transcription, and analysis of focus groups for the project. Employment will take place over two periods, totalling five months in all:
- 1 August – 31 October 2026
- 2 February – 31 March 2027
Due to the linguistic needs of the research community, successful candidate must be able to speak English and Punjabi.
