About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Postdoctoral researcher to join our multidisciplinary team to accelerate research into Parkinson’s disease. The postholder will work on the Parkinson’s Clinical Cohorts Collaborative (PC3) which brings together multiple long-term UK Parkinson’s studies into a single large dataset comprised of control, prodromal and Parkinson’s participants. This post involves working with a range of stakeholders to develop communication strategies, conduct qualitative and mixed methods research, generate data, analyse findings, and deliver public engagement. The post-holder will be supported to play an active role in the analysis of data from this study, and to assist with writing up reports for publication and dissemination. The focus will be on applying stakeholder insights to guide design, ethics, linkage of research and healthcare data, and prioritisation of analyses within PC3.
About You
This post is suited to an individual with a research background in health, social science, ethics or patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE), with an interest in stakeholder involvement, co-design, and knowledge production. Proven experience developing and conducting PPIE activities is required. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to make a real impact on understanding how Parkinson’s progresses and to shape future research on prediction and treatment.
