We are seeking a highly organised individual with relevant experience to take on the role of Senior Library Collections Assistant within the Library and Learning Enhancement (LLE) Division at UEA.
Working closely with colleagues in the Digital Library and Content Team, you will play a key role in service delivery through the development and maintenance of UEA Library’s physical and electronic collections. Your work will directly contribute to the student experience, through the timely and effective provision of materials for teaching and research.
You will manage a variety of administrative processes, including managing shared inboxes, responding to enquiries from staff and students, and liaising with suppliers to purchase resources. The role also requires some manual handling and physical activity, as part of daily tasks is to receive deliveries and undertake stock maintenance.
This role requires excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to manage competing priorities. Experience of working with library management systems or similar is essential.
This full-time post is available from 22 June 2026 on a fixed-term basis of up to 12 months to cover maternity leave.
We value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive culture where everyone can thrive. We particularly welcome applicants with the protected characteristic of race (Black, Asian and minority ethnic) for this post, as they are currently underrepresented at this level within the Library and Learning Enhancement department. Appointment will be made on merit, and all applicants will be scored against the same criteria.
Further information on our great benefits package, including 34 days annual leave inclusive of Bank Holidays and additional University Customary days (pro rata for part-time), can be found on our benefits page.
Closing date: 4 May 2026
