We couldn’t exist anywhere else and have shaped the city in which we belong. Working with the people of Liverpool to improve lives and support communities is at the heart of why we were founded and why we exist today.

This part-time (0.5 FTE) academic post is based within the Fashion: Design & Fashion Communication programme at the Liverpool Liverpool School of Art and Creative Industries.

You will contribute to the School’s academic activities, with a particular focus on leading and delivering Pattern Cutting & Technology modules on the BA (Hons) Fashion programme, specifically within the Fashion Design pathway.

You will teach and supervise across a range of practice-based construction and manufacturing activities, including emerging technological approaches. You will also contribute to the organisation, delivery, and assessment of modules across the BA Fashion programme and MA Fashion Innovation. In addition, you will engage in ongoing scholarship to remain current in the field and contribute to the wider academic life of the School, Faculty, and University.

BA Fashion: Design & Communication at Liverpool School of Art & Design is an established course with an ever-growing reputation for excellent graduates. The city of Liverpool is a vibrant place for students to study and supports the course as a hub for research and live projects. Students select between 2 pathways: Design or Communication. The Communication Pathway focuses on visual and creative skills across a broad range of topics from branding and trend prediction to events and public relations. Contextual studies is embedded in the Programme across both pathways. High profile collaborations and competitions are an intrinsic part of the programme alongside a wide range of placements within the fashion sector.

The MA Fashion Innovation and Realisation is a platform for home and international students to realise their own ambitions in a highly creative interdisciplinary environment. The breadth of the programme encompasses both fashion design and communication leading on and diversifying to a range of disciplines within the fashion umbrella.
