We couldn’t exist anywhere else and have shaped the city in which we belong. Working with the people of Liverpool to improve lives and support communities is at the heart of why we were founded and why we exist today.
This part-time (0.5 FTE) academic post is based within the Fashion: Design & Fashion Communication programme at the Liverpool Liverpool School of Art and Creative Industries.
You will contribute to the School’s academic activities, with a particular focus on leading and delivering Pattern Cutting & Technology modules on the BA (Hons) Fashion programme, specifically within the Fashion Design pathway.
The role requires experience in higher education and a commitment to developing Pattern Cutting & Technology within a fashion curriculum. You should have proven teaching experience at HE level and hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent industry experience) in Design Technology, Fashion Design, Textiles, or a related discipline.
You will teach and supervise across a range of practice-based construction and manufacturing activities, including emerging technological approaches. Responsibilities include delivering workshops, demonstrations, and tutorials in pattern cutting and technology, supporting students to realise innovative concepts through both physical (toiles and garments) and digital 3D methods, with knowledge of CLO3D desirable.
You will also contribute to the organisation, delivery, and assessment of modules across the BA Fashion programme and MA Fashion Innovation. In addition, you will engage in ongoing scholarship to remain current in the field and contribute to the wider academic life of the School, Faculty, and University.
