About the role
As a Change Manager in our Transformation Team, you’ll help shape the people and cultural elements of one of Imperial’s most significant programmes: the introduction of our new job family framework for staff across our professional, operational, and technical services. You’ll play a central role in supporting colleagues across the University to navigate change confidently, ensuring we create positive, lasting impact.

What you would be doing
In this role, you will:
- Lead the development and delivery of change management plans for the Professional, Technical and Operational PTO Framework Programme, helping colleagues move smoothly to new ways of working.
- The Professional, Technical and Operational (PTO) Framework Programme is a major initiative designed to bring greater clarity, fairness and consistency to how PTO roles are described, supported and enabled across the university.
- Work with Comms and Training leads to create engaging and accessible communications, training, and support materials that bring clarity and confidence to staff experiencing change.
- Build strong relationships across faculties, departments and professional functions, acting as a trusted advisor to managers, sponsors and project teams.
- Facilitate workshops, assess organisational readiness, and support the measurement of adoption and benefits realisation.
- Champion a collaborative, people‑centred approach to change, contributing to the maturity and impact of change management across the University.
What we are looking for
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Experience applying change management principles, tools and methodologies in complex organisational environments.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences and support others to deliver change locally.
- Strong relationship‑building abilities, credibility with stakeholders and confidence working in highly matrixed or ambiguous settings.
- A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with resilience, adaptability and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- An understanding of user‑centred and service design approaches, and experience delivering cultural or behavioural change.

This is an 18‑month fixed‑term, full time role based at our White City campus, with opportunities for hybrid working. You’ll be joining a collaborative, forward‑thinking Transformation Team that works closely with leaders and colleagues across Imperial to deliver lasting, meaningful change.
This role will be appointed at the bottom of this salary scale with opportunities to increase spine-points with continued service.
