The Joint Educational Institute (JEI) follows on from the successful Joint Programme (JP) in Biomedical Sciences and Clinical Medicine between Queen Mary and Nanchang University. Established in 2013, the JP forms the template for expansion of the new programmes. Teaching and assessments are delivered by ‘Flying Faculty’ in Nanchang, who travel to China multiple times a year. When not in China, staff are based within the School of Biological and Behavioural Sciences (SBBS) at the Mile End campus in London.
About You
Four highly collegiate individuals will join an interactive interdisciplinary team, to support and encourage student learning and development. You will have a passion for your chosen academic disciplines, have the appropriate subject knowledge and ability to teach and integrate knowledge across a range of subjects in contemporary Biomedical Sciences and Data Science disciplines.
The successful candidate will have an excellent academic background with a relevant PhD in the Biomedical Sciences and/or equivalent relevant professional qualification and experience.
About the School
SBBS is a supportive and friendly environment, priding itself on its inclusivity and research-led innovative teaching. Successful applicants will interact with SBBS staff and with other QM-NCU Joint Programme colleagues in Nanchang and London.
