Responsibilities

To provide technical support across all trades and building services to the Head of Maintenance at Tooting. Responsible for the management of compliance activities and contractors across the Tooting Campus, ensuring all statutory and regulatory requirements are met. This role also involves overseeing and maintaining an ageing and complex estate, ensuring its continued functionality and safety.

Provides support to the Head of Maintenance (Tooting) by managing and auditing contracted maintenance across the campus. Oversees a wide range of statutory compliance areas—including LOLER, Legionella L8, pressure systems, refrigeration and F-gas, gas boilers, asbestos, fire systems, and electrical testing. Responsible for supervising specialist subcontra ctors, including attending and recording meetings as required.

Person Specification

We are seeking candidates with strong technical foundations in building and plant maintenance, ideally holding qualifications such as BEng (Hons), HND, HNC, or relevant City & Guilds certifications in mechanical, electrical, or building services disciplines. Applicants should also demonstrate robust health and safety knowledge, supported by IOSH Managing Safely and NEBOSH qualifications.
