The School of Cardiovascular & Metabolic Health is seeking to appoint a Lecturer to contribute to the delivery of an excellent student experience by contributing to teaching, assessment and administration processes associated with undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and to undertake scholarship to enhance learning and teaching in the School of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Health.
Applications are invited from candidates who hold a Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 12 (PhD)
or equivalent professional experience, in Sport and Exercise Science or a closely related discipline, and/or relevant teaching experience. You should have experience in developing and demonstrating teaching and research methods and devising models, approaches, techniques, critiques and methods.
The School of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Health is one of eight Schools within the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences at the University of Glasgow. The School is internationally leading in the areas of research, education (and undergraduate and postgraduate level) and has a wide-ranging internationalization, engagement and enterprise portfolio. Research in the School focusses on the areas of cardiac diseases (including but not limited to ischemic heart disease, heart failure, arrhythmias and cardio-oncology), metabolic diseases (including but not limited to diabetes and obesity) and vascular diseases (including but not limited to hypertension, cerebrovascular disease and kidney disease), supported by a cross-cutting research theme in cardiovascular data science. The School is proud of its translational research strategy from fundamental and discovery science to experimental medicine, clinical trials and implementation research.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week) and open-ended.
