Job description:
The Department of Finance has an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Systems and Data Manager, suited to someone with a passion for data input and improving data quality looking to use their skills in data and system management to make a University wide impact.
You will join the Procurement Team within the Department of Finance and will lead on both systems management and the improvement of the integrity of data inputted and extracted on behalf of both Procurement and internal stakeholders. The departmental vision to provide a world class Financial and Commercial Operating Model that supports the achievements of Research, Innovation, Education, and our One University pillars is the focus of this role. We are looking for an individual with substantial experience and skills in relation to system management, analysis and development. Experience in improving data quality in relation to systems will be key. A knowledge of SAP ERP system, approved product catalogue, a credit rating agency system, internally written systems utilising both databases and spreadsheets would be beneficial. There will be scope for the post holder to directly contribute to both the development of our existing systems as well as potential new systems to automate our existing processes.
Data quality is key to our efficient operations, the post holder will drive data quality improvements where they are identified, providing guidelines and guidance where they are required.
