HRUC’s new SEND centre based at Barra Hall in Hayes will be opening in September 2026.
This welcoming new campus will provide a high-quality inclusive learning environment for SEND students, and improve outcomes for students with special educational needs, including those with severe learning needs (SLD).
We are seeking an experienced and pro-active individual who will be responsible for ensuring support is provided for learners with High Needs and Low Level SEN needs. Working closely with young people, their parents/carers, Local Authorities, parents and carers, you will interview and assess students with disabilities and health needs, create Individual Support Plans, co-ordinate the allocation of support, chair Annual Reviews and ensure all administration is completed to ensure the timescales of the Local Authority timescales are met. You will also line manage a team of Learning Support staff.
You will need to have a good standard of education with a specialist qualification in aspects of SEN including ASD and SPLD. You will need to possess at least 5 years’ experience in SEN within a Secondary or FE setting, with experience of management of provision and experience of working collaboratively with parents, colleagues and external organisations. A confident communicator with strong organisational skills, you should also have good leadership skills with experience of managing or supervising others.
