Student Services are recruiting for Inclusive Practice Tutors to support the development of inclusive practice across the university and provide specialist teaching to students with specific learning differences or autism.
The postholder will work closely with academic colleagues to provide practical support in developing inclusive learning and teaching strategies and resources. They will play a key role in promoting the University’s Standards of Inclusive Practice and embedding inclusive approaches across the curriculum.
The successful candidate will work with students across all levels of study to develop strategies and skills through one-to-one teaching and workshops to larger groups of students.
They will be familiar with strategies and aids to support learning for students with specific learning differences and autism and have experience of inclusive teaching.
We are a supportive team and value professional collaboration to ensure a consistent level of service for our students. We are therefore looking for someone who can work flexibly and build positive and collaborative relationships with colleagues across the university.
The role will be based across our City Centre and Headingley campuses and sits within our wider Student Services team. This is a term time role worked over 34 weeks per year.
