An exciting opportunity has arisen for an organised and motivated Data Analyst to join the award-winning Planning Team at the University of Huddersfield.
You will join a highly skilled and motivated team with an excellent reputation for providing accurate and insightful analysis. As part of the team, you will play a key role in ensuring the University makes informed, strategic decisions by producing robust data, reporting and insight.
The role involves working both independently and collaboratively with our team of Analysts and Developers, as well as with a wide range of University stakeholders, particularly recruitment and marketing leads.
With a degree or equivalent experience gained through education, training, or work, you will enjoy working with large data sets, developing dashboards, and identifying meaningful insights. You will understand the wider context of the University strategy and the Higher Education sector and be able to communicate complex analytical findings clearly and effectively. A proactive and innovative approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement, is essential.
You will have experience of:
- Interrogating databases, using tools such as advanced Excel, Structured Query Language (SQL) and Python
- Working efficiently with spreadsheets and databases to produce analyses and data extracts
- Applying data analysis techniques to answer questions and identify key trends
- Producing accurate, user-friendly reports using business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
We offer an excellent employment package, including hybrid working, blending a mix of remote and on-campus working (dependent on work duties).
