We invite applications for a Research Officer in Economic Evaluation to join EuroHeartPath, a major European initiative aimed at transforming cardiovascular care pathways. The project brings together 38 partners from academia, healthcare, industry and patient organisations, with the shared goal of reducing the burden of cardiovascular disease across Europe. LSE Health leads the health economics, ethics and policy work package within EuroHeartPath. The project is also embedded within the AI and Digital Unit at LSE Health , and the Research Officer will have the opportunity to engage with the wider international activities of the Unit.

The aim of our work is to evaluate the comparative cost-effectiveness and sustainability of new technologies – such as AI-driven diagnostics, digital health tools, point-of-care testing, and robotic imaging – and to develop policy roadmaps for their adoption across diverse health systems.

Working independently under the guidance of senior researchers at LSE Health, you will:

  1. Design and implement economic evaluations embedded in clinical studies and model resource use across different health systems.

  3. Contribute to policy roadmaps and regulatory guidance for adoption of digital health technologies.
  4. Write scholarly manuscripts and policy briefs for scientific and non-scientific audiences.
