This exciting Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project between Aston University and Modular Data Ltd will build an open source platform using AI tools to predict outcomes such as reoffending rates and improve supply chains. You will take day to day responsibility for developing the platform core and reusable “domain packs”, working closely with Modular Data's team and Aston University academic supervisors.

You will work at the forefront of applied AI, building an open source platform with real world impact across criminal justice, public safety and supply chain sectors. You will design, deliver and launch production grade AI systems, guided by leading Aston University experts. This role offers opportunities to lead technical innovation, publish joint research and help set industry standards in secure and ethical AI. You will also have access to a personal development budget of £2000 per year to build relevant skills.
This KTP provides a strong opportunity to plan and deliver business change while working with senior University academics and company staff on a commercial project applying cutting edge research.
You will work with Professor Abdul Sadka and Dr Zhuangzhuang Dai alongside senior Modular Data colleagues supported by an Innovate UK Knowledge Transfer Adviser.
The role is primarily remote as Modular Data operates virtually. You will attend monthly meetings in central London and occasional visits to Aston University in Birmingham with possible additional travel for training or project needs.
Candidate Profile:
Minimum Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related subject, strong focus on AI/ Data Analytics.
