Lancaster University is a high‑performing institution with a global reputation and a strong commitment to enhancing the student experience. We are looking for a proactive, forward‑thinking and collaborative Student Systems Manager to play a key role in shaping how our student systems evolve and support colleagues and students across the entire lifecycle.
This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working where systems, process, data and user experience come together. You’ll act as a key representative for SES in system‑related activity, ensuring that business requirements are clearly understood, changes are well‑controlled, and systems continue to meet operational, regulatory and user needs. You will report to the Head of Student Systems, Data and Reporting.
Working closely with ISS, business owners and operational teams, you will contribute to development activity, support system assurance and operational readiness, and help ensure high‑quality, stable systems that underpin University‑wide processes. You will also play an important role in change management — helping colleagues adopt new functionality, providing clear guidance, and supporting the smooth introduction of system improvements.
We’re looking for someone who brings curiosity and a constructive, solutions‑focused mindset: someone who can spot opportunities, propose innovative improvements, and help shape how our systems evolve in a rapidly changing environment.
