The role
The Bristol Medical School is looking for a capable and skilled Executive Support Administrator (ESA) to work as part of the Executive Team within the Bristol Medical School and the Integrative Epidemiology Unit (IEU) that delivers all aspects of administration to the colleagues within the School and the IEU.
The post holder will be based in the MRC Integrative Epidemiology Unit undertaking a number of administrative duties including complex diary and email management, travel bookings, arranging and coordinating meetings, managing both internal and external communications and arranging and overseeing School events.
Excellent organisational skills are required along with a high standard of IT skills and the ability to interact with various office systems. Well-developed communication skills are essential as the post holder will be dealing with a wide range of colleagues on a daily basis.
The post represents a great opportunity to extend workplace/office experience in a university environment. The position is hybrid but with an expectation that you will be in the office twice a week minimum.
What will you be doing?
The Executive Support Administrator will provide high level, technically advanced, self managed day to day administrative support to senior academics within the MRC Integrative Epidemiology Unit (IEU) and the Bristol Medical School. The ESA will be expected to work as part of a team and work closely with professors and academics providing general administrative support, complex email and diary management, arranging high level regional and national meetings including booking national and international travel arrangements, and dealing with incoming communications via a variety of media. The postholder will train to become a DSE Assessor, and support school related projects.
