Leeds Arts University is the only specialist arts University in the North of England. We have contributed significantly to the development of arts education for over 180 years, and have developed a national and international reputation based on the achievements of our students and staff.
The role is to join our team of Facilities and Maintenance Operatives providing essential building maintenance and support services across the Estate. In the role you will assist with routine maintenance, repairs, planned maintenance and security of university buildings, furniture and equipment, joining a busy in-house team, who are supported by external contractors. As a key holder, you will work on a rota basis to ensure that the University buildings are safe secure and ready for use. You will also assist in the preparation of buildings and logistics for University events.
Applicants should have experience of working in a building support or maintenance role or have undertaken these duties as part of another post, and have access to their own transport to enable them to act as a key holder. A trade background and experience of supporting events is desirable.
Shift pattern is Monday to Thursday 2pm to 10pm, and Friday 11am to 6:30pm. It also includes a 1 week in 7 rota’d Friday 5pm to 10pm and Saturday 8am to 6pm.
