The University of Glasgow is seeking to appoint an outstanding Equine Surgeon to join Glasgow Equine Hospital, one of the UK’s leading centres for equine clinical care, teaching, and research.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic, collaborative team delivering a high-quality equine referral service. The successful candidate will contribute to a busy and varied caseload, working at the forefront of equine surgery while supporting veterinary surgeons across Scotland and northern England.
About the role
As a member of our expert equine surgery team, you will deliver high‑quality specialist clinical services within the RCVS‑accredited Glasgow Equine Veterinary Hospital, while contributing to research‑led education and the development of our expanding equine academic programmes.
For candidates with particular expertise or enthusiasm, there is scope to develop and expand specialist clinical services, including areas such as equine dentistry and head and neck surgery.
The Glasgow Equine Hospital delivers a comprehensive equine referral service, working closely with first‑opinion practices to provide advanced diagnostics, surgical intervention, and intensive care.
