The Biodiscovery Institute (BDI) is a collaborative post-graduate research facility with academics from across six Schools at the University of Nottingham. The BDI comprises 3 buildings and contains a series of laboratories and office spaces supporting 850+ staff and students.
This crucial role is based within a dedicated support team providing support in the operation of a busy research institution. Duties include but not limited to preparing and sterilising laboratory reagents and media, washing and sterilizing of glassware, collection of biological waste and Safety checks on equipment.
The role may also include working in busy goods in area and will dealing with deliveries of consumables, stock checking and restocking consumables.
We have a team-based approach, candidates must have excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills, with a good attention to detail. The role will involve manual handling.
Candidates should have GCSEs at Grade C or equivalent, or considerable work experience in a relevant role. Experience in a lab setting is desirable but full training will be given.

This is a fixed term position available for 1.5 years. Your working hours will be (36.25 hours per week).
