The University of Liverpool is recruiting to support the delivery of major, high‑profile change programmes within Property & Campus Services (PCS). We are seeking a Project Manager (Grade 7)  to join a dedicated project delivery team working on initiatives that are central to the University’s long‑term strategy.

About the programmes

Both roles will contribute to the delivery of:

  • Reimagining the Campus – shaping the future physical and digital experience of the University estate
  • Maintenance Service Improvement – enhancing maintenance service models, processes and customer experience
  • These programmes span multiple service areas, requiring effective collaboration, strong governance and high‑quality project delivery

The Project Manager will lead the end‑to‑end delivery of complex, multi‑stakeholder projects, ensuring outcomes are delivered to time, cost and quality. Working closely with senior stakeholders, project boards and delivery partners, you will provide strong leadership, governance and assurance across the programme.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning, coordinating and managing all aspects of project delivery
  • Managing risks, issues, dependencies, resources and budgets
  • Leading stakeholder engagement, communications and change management
  • Ensuring robust governance, reporting and benefits realisation
  • Supporting business readiness, handover and project closure

About you:

You will have proven project management experience delivering complex initiatives, strong leadership and communication skills, and experience working with diverse stakeholder groups. Experience within Higher Education or the public sector is desirable, as is a recognised project management qualification.
