The Laboratory for Molecular Cell Biology (LMCB) opened in 1993 as one of the first centres dedicated to molecular cell biology in the UK. The Department has a strong international reputation for research excellence, with staff and PhD students working together to understand the fundamental principles of cell biology relevant to human disease. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Lloyd Lab.
You will lead your own project while working in a collaborative and innovative team who are committed to excellence in research.
About the role
The Lloyd Lab, funded by CRUK, aims to understand the homeostasis and regeneration of the peripheral nervous system and the roles of these processes in cancer. To deliver this role effectively you will need a combination of excellent understanding of molecular, cell biology and imaging, with a special focus on peripheral nerve biology as well the ability to establish effective and collaborative relationships.

This is a fixed-term role ending on 31 March 2027, with a strong possibility of extension subject to funding. The anticipated start date is June, as soon as possible.

Salary Range for Research Assistants on Grade 6B is: £39,148 - £41,833 (including London Allowance).
