About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and organised Trial Manager to join the Pragmatic Clinical Trials Unit (PCTU), in collaboration with the Centre for Bone & Joint Health.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to support the delivery of an important clinical trial funded by the NIHR and a multidisciplinary research team. You will play a key role in the day-to-day coordination and management of the study, ensuring it is delivered efficiently, on time, and in line with regulatory and governance requirements.
You will be involved in a wide range of trial activities, including site set-up, maintaining trial documentation, coordinating meetings, supporting data collection and management processes, and liaising with trial sites and stakeholders. You will also assist with monitoring trial progress, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and study protocols.
Working closely with the senior trial management staff, you will contribute to the smooth running of the trial while developing your skills and experience in clinical trial management within a supportive and collaborative environment.
About You
You will hold a degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant subject and have experience working in a clinical research or trials environment.
You should have a good understanding of research governance and an awareness of clinical trial processes, including ethics and regulatory requirements. Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) is desirable.
You will be highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Good communication skills are essential.
You should be confident using standard IT systems (e.g. databases, spreadsheets and document management systems), and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
