Our Department of Library & Cultural Services is seeking a Poetry Project Coordinator to join the team. In this position, you will work with poets, students and a wide range of partners to play a pivotal role in supporting poetry and literature events with Manchester Poetry Library that are open to all.
About the Role:
As the Poetry Project Coordinator you will coordinate a series of events at the intersection of contemporary poetry, public engagement, and digital innovation in collaboration with Manchester Writing School, it's Creative director Carol Ann Duffy, the wider professoriate and faculty, and the UK's first university-located Poetry Library including: new poetry podcast series developed in collaboration with faculty and Manchester Poetry Library colleagues; a programme of evening poetry events featuring live readings and performances; visual poetry projections in public and university spaces; and continuing to grow the successful Manchester Translation Series.
You will contribute to supporting students, academics and partners to foster a positive work culture, and help shape a vibrant programme of events open to all.
