We have an exciting opportunity within Campus Services and the Estates and Facilities Management department.
We are seeking a customer-focused individual with the ability to quickly build and maintain excellent working relationships to join our friendly Campus Services team. You will act as an ambassador for the University by providing a highly visible presence and service around campus, interacting with students, staff, visitors and members of the public and will be motivated by providing a high standard of customer care and by working in a diverse and ever-changing environment.
You will work in the award-winning Department of Estates & Facilities Management (EFM) at the University of Sheffield is responsible for maintaining the University’s building, facilities and grounds, managing its property and facilities and procuring new buildings.
This role offers you the opportunity to undertake a wide variety of tasks based around the University Campus to ensure safe car parking and traffic management on a day-to-day basis. Working outdoors, you will be responsible for the patrolling of university car parks and pedestrianised areas on an area rotation basis checking vehicles for correct, safe parking and valid permits and dealing with traffic infringements. A significant element of the role is to move around the University campus on foot, and at all times of the year, however there will be times when you will need to move across wider work locations using University vehicles.
