About the role:

Do you enjoy building relationships and delivering high‑quality support as an Alumni Engagement and Volunteering Co‑ordinator? In this 6‑month role, you will help connect Imperial College Business School alumni and students through volunteering, events and communications, supporting one of the world’s leading business schools. Working within the Alumni Engagement team, you will play a key part in coordinating volunteering activity, maintaining accurate records and helping to deliver a positive experience for alumni and students.

What you would be doing:

In this role, you will coordinate a range of alumni volunteering opportunities, including communications with volunteers, recruitment of recent graduates for induction panels, matching volunteers to opportunities and following up on activity. You will provide operational support for alumni engagement events and activities, including occasional evening events, and assist with alumni communications and other team projects as required. Your responsibilities will include maintaining accurate records of alumni volunteering and engagement in systems such as Blackbaud CRM, supporting data entry, updates and basic reporting, and contributing to monitoring participation, satisfaction and programme outcomes. You will also handle alumni and internal enquiries, process purchases and invoices, and provide high‑quality customer service to alumni, students, colleagues and other stakeholders.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience of supporting volunteering, alumni engagement, student engagement, events or similar stakeholder‑facing activity.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage a varied workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience of working with a range of internal and external stakeholders and providing good customer service.
  • Confidence using data and databases to update records, track activity and support reporting (experience with CRM systems such as Blackbaud is desirable but not essential).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, respond flexibly to changing priorities and build positive working relationships with colleagues, volunteers and alumni.
  • A willingness to support occasional evening events.

What we can offer you:

  • The opportunity to continue your career at a world-leading institution and be part of our mission to use science for humanity.
  • Benefit from a sector-leading salary and remuneration package (including 41 days’ annual leave and generous pension schemes).
  • Access to a range of workplace benefits including a flexible working policy from day one, generous family leave packages, on-site leisure facilities and cycle-to-work scheme.
  • Interest-free season ticket loan schemes for travel.
  • Be part of a diverse, inclusive and collaborative work culture with various staff networks and resources to support your personal and professional wellbeing.
