What You’ll Be Doing

As a Lecturer in Psychology, teaching will include daytime, some evening & weekend sessions

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching across core psychology subjects aligned to BPS GBC requirements
  • Design and develop innovative, future-focused curriculum content
  • Support students to achieve academic success and thrive personally
  • Assess and provide timely, impactful feedback to enhance learning
  • Contribute to research and scholarly activity within the department
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain excellence in teaching and quality assurance
  • Play an active role in BPS accreditation and continuous programme improvement

About You

Your Experience

  • Teaching psychology in higher education, ideally across BPS-aligned modules
  • Designing and delivering curriculum to professional standards
  • Research experience or clear potential to contribute academically

Your Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of BPS accreditation and GBC curriculum
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Passion for delivering an inclusive, engaging learning experience
  • Commitment to student success and continuous improvement

Your Qualifications

Master’s degree in Psychology (PhD desirable)

Eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) with the BPS (essential)

You’ll work closely with Programme Leaders, Module Leaders, and the wider academic team to deliver a consistent, high-quality student experience, ensuring excellence across teaching, assessment, and student support.
