We are seeking a clinical trainee to undertake an MD within the Respiratory Infection Theme of the Department of Clinical Infection, Microbiology and Immunology, aligned with the University of Liverpool’s Infection Resilience Theme.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a world-leading team delivering impactful research relevant to health in the UK and globally. The post is funded by the UK Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL) and forms part of a collaboration between the University of Liverpool, Liverpool John Moores University, DSTL, and NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group.
The supervisory team will include Professor Jo Fothergill, Dr Dan Wootton, and Dr Freddy Frost. MD fees are fully funded.
You will work within a multidisciplinary team on the “Military Microbiomes” project, which investigates how environmental change influences the lung microbiome and its effects on respiratory physiology and physical performance.
