About the role
The Senior Business Operations Officer provides high‑quality, proactive business and executive support to the King’s Institute for Artificial Intelligence. The role underpins the effective operation of the Institute across executive support, events delivery, and core business operations including finance, HR, procurement, governance, space, and health and safety.
Working independently and as part of a friendly and collegiate professional services team, the post holder ensures consistent, compliant and efficient service delivery in line with university and Faculty policies and priorities. The role requires sound judgement, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities while delivering responsive stakeholder support.
The post holder actively contributes to the continuous improvement of processes, sharing best practice and supporting innovation to enhance service delivery. They work closely with academic and professional services colleagues across the university and with external stakeholders to support the Institute’s strategic objectives and profile.
The role includes responsibility for day-to-day financial processes, coordination of executive and governance activity, and end-to-end operational support for a diverse portfolio of events and engagement activities. Flexibility is required, as the post involves occasional evening and very infrequent weekend work to support out-of-hours events.
This is a full time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
