This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
Catering & Hospitality Services or Great Food at Leeds (GFAL) supports the student experience at the University. The Service operates cafes, caters for functions, manages and provides service to conferences and events and operates a central refectory that provides meals to students, staff and visitors.
As a Catering Administration Assistant you will be an integral part of a dedicated team, working to ensure impeccable customer service and accuracy and efficiency of catering support systems and processes. You will support the smooth operation of our Catering and Hospitality offer through attention to detail and a professional attitude, ensuring customer and colleague needs are met, and our standards are adhered to at all times.
The Catering & Hospitality department operates a number of catering-specific software platforms, including a stock management & procurement system, an EPoS till system / loyalty app, rota management software and a hospitality booking system. This role involves working with all these systems to ensure data quality and accuracy of information.
Although based in University House the post holder may be required to cover any areas of catering across campus to meet business needs. You may on occasion be required to deputise in the absence of managers within your area.
This is a full-time role working 35 hours each week on a 5 days over 7 contract, however normal working hours for this role are generally expected to be weekdays between the hours of 8am and 6pm.
You may be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business including working in other Catering Services locations on campus if necessary and occasional weekend working as and when required.
