The Faculty of Law is looking to recruit an Access and Admissions Administrator to support the with delivery of the faculty’s admissions and access activities and supporting the annual undergraduate admissions exercise. They will report to the Senior Access and Outreach Officer and work closely with the Admissions and Outreach Officer. Flexible working hours are required at times in this role but in all cases, any overtime worked may be taken back in lieu as soon as possible after it is worked.
The postholder will be responsible for supporting administrative processes relating to the Law National Aptitude Test (LNAT) results, coordinate and deliver events and enlist the involvement of academics, staying up to date with outreach developments within the HE sector, assisting the Admissions & Outreach Officer dealing with queries from prospective applicants, parents and schools, especially when the Admissions & Outreach Officer is not available and effectively manage budgets for events and answer questions about expenditure, and periodically report to the Finance Manager on progress against budget.
Candidates should have strong event coordination experience, including online events and use of virtual learning platforms, a good understanding of how to communicate with target audiences, a flexible approach to work, with an enthusiastic and co-operative attitude and a willingness to work overtime on some occasions and strong organisational skills, and the ability to maintain a practical and resourceful approach even under pressure. It would be desirable for candidates to have experience of working within Further Education or Higher Education.
This role is full time and permanent and based at the Faculty of Law, St Cross Building, St Cross Road, Oxford, OX1 3UL.
