Marketing, Communications and Student Recruitment
£27,560 - £31,512 per annum
Fixed term for 12 months (Maternity Cover)
37 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Internal Communications Coordinator to join the University of Huddersfield’s Media Relations Team. This is a fixed-term appointment for 12 months; however, as the post is linked to a maternity absence, the end date is subject to change.
Are you passionate about creating engaging communications for our student and staff community? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced office environment in a varied role? Are you skilled at building relationships across an organisation? If so, then this post might be for you.
You will work across the University to create regular internal communications content, including campaigns, writing content for our staff and student intranets, producing student e-newsletters, and sharing engaging digital content on social media and the website.
Educated to degree level or with relevant experience gained through holding a similar role, you will have proven experience of using multiple digital corporate channels, copywriting and proofreading, producing corporate communications and marketing materials, and communicating with a variety of internal stakeholders. You will be highly motivated with excellent communication, organisational, and teamworking skills, enabling you to work effectively in a flexible and responsive environment. Experience of using collaboration software, such as Teams, would be an advantage.
We offer an excellent employment package, including hybrid working, blending a mix of remote and on-campus working (dependent on work duties).
The University is deeply committed to equality and diversity for all its students and staff. We seek to be diverse and inclusive, supporting individuals and groups to fulfil their potential and nurture a sense of belonging. We strive to be an accessible, inclusive employer, removing barriers for all. Find out more about our approach to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, including our commitments and accreditations as a Disability Confident Leader, Stonewall Gold Award holder and Top 100 Employer, Athena SWAN Bronze Award holder and Race Equality Charter Bronze Award holder.
Informal enquiries are welcome to Mike Spikin, Internal Communications Officer.
