About the role
This fixed-term post is to provide replacement teaching for Professor Polly Joness during her Leverhulme Project Grant.
The post will involve advanced teaching and independent academic research in Russian.
The successful candidate will contribute to the teaching of Russian within the Sub-Faculty of Slavonic by offering 6 hours of lectures or seminars on medieval topics, they will also be responsible for providing four ‘weighted’ hours a week of undergraduate tuition in Russian language and literature at University College.

About you
You will hold (or be near completion) of a Doctorate level degree in modern Russian literature and culture, and currently possess a good undergraduate degree, normally in Russian; as well as the ability to produce high quality research within the field of Russian and Russophone literature and culture studies.
Evidence of the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate students across a range of topics in modern Russian literature and culture at the highest level in the medium of English, whether through lectures, seminars, or tutorials.
