The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join the History programme in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Keele University as a Lecturer in History and Digital Humanities. This post is available for 3 years from September 2026.
The successful candidate will deliver excellent teaching and student experience in History and Digital Humanities, broadly defined, at undergraduate and postgraduate level. This role sits within the History programme, but you will contribute expertise in Digital Humanities more broadly across the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. You will develop innovative research in History and Digital Humanities and contribute to the broader academic community of the institution.
Applications are welcome from all History specialisms and time periods, but expertise in non-European History may be an advantage, as might the capability to deliver modules including Digital Curation and History and Colonial Legacies: The inconvenient Histories of Individuals, Families, and Communities since 1800.
