About the role
We are seeking to appoint a Senior Graduate Studies Administrator, who will manage graduate admissions and student administration processes, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement. This role involves overseeing student progression, providing expert advice to students and academics, supervising junior staff, analysing data to inform decision-making, and supporting student well-being through signposting and pastoral care.
This full-time permanent post is funded by the Department and is based at the Department of Biochemistry, South Parks Road, Oxford, OX1 3QU
The actual starting salary offered will be based on qualifications and relevant skills acquired and will also be determined by the funding available.
About you
You will hold a degree or equivalent qualification, with significant experience working in Higher Education or a comparable environment. You will bring excellent organisational, project management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage complex workloads, work accurately under pressure, and handle sensitive matters with discretion. You will demonstrate strong IT and numeracy skills, confidence in working with databases and financial processes, and the ability to quickly understand complex procedures and provide clear guidance. A positive, adaptable approach, alongside the ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate effectively within a team, is essential.
