This is a fixed term position for 2 years.

The Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences (NDORMS) is part of the Medical Sciences Division and is the largest European academic department in its field, running a globally competitive programme of research and teaching. The Botnar Research Centre enables and encourages research and education into the causes of musculoskeletal disease and their treatment. The Centre provides world-class facilities for scientists in the field of musculoskeletal research.

About the Role

The postholder will provide research support for the Health Data Sciences Group led by Prof. Prieto-Alhambra and coordinate various research projects. The postholder will be an essential part of the team, working on exciting projects which will offer room for contributing to their development. The successful candidate will have strong project management skills, eye for detail, and a commitment to improving health in the UK and abroad.

The postholder will independently manage day-to-day administrative processes, using initiative to resolve issues and adapt to changing priorities. They will produce correspondence, documents, and reports to tight deadlines, preparing and presenting information concisely. They will also act as a point of referral for organising tasks, ensuring senior team members are up-to-date with information and developments.

About You

You must hold a degree or have equivalent experience. Experience managing projects including the use of project management tools, along with experience conducting research support tasks efficiently (such as publication support, manuscript submission), is essential. Experience working in an academic environment, with an understanding of university processes and experience working in health-related projects are desirable.
