About the role:
We are seeking a Media and Audio Production Technician to join our Technical Services team on the Preston Campus. This is a practical, hands on role supporting teaching, learning, and production activity across a wide range of specialist media and audio facilities.
You will provide technical support across our television studios, recording studios, edit suites, and associated production spaces. Your core responsibilities will include the setup, operation, maintenance, installation, and configuration of professional film, television, and audio equipment. You will also ensure that all work is carried out in line with appropriate health and safety requirements and recognised technical standards.
About the role:
We are looking for a highly practical and adaptable individual with strong technical competence, excellent customer service skills, and relevant industry experience in media, broadcast, audio production, or a related field. You will be confident supporting a broad range of equipment and facilities, and able to communicate clearly and professionally with staff, students, and colleagues. The ability to apply your technical knowledge across different disciplines will be a distinct advantage.
You will also hold a qualification in a media related subject (HNC, HND, BA, BSc) or equivalent experiential learning in a related discipline
