This is a fixed term appointment for 12 months.

The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is a world-leading university dedicated to the social sciences. Named University of the Year 2025 by The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide, LSE is one of the most international universities in the world, with over 234,000 alumni in more than 140 countries.

The Philanthropy and Global Engagement Division (PAGE) builds lifelong relationships with alumni, volunteers, donors and partners to support LSE’s mission and global impact.

We are looking for a proactive and organised Alumni Engagement Regional and Thematic Lead to help deliver engaging and strategic international programmes that connect alumni with LSE and with each other.

About the Role

In this role, you will lead a strategic portfolio of international alumni engagement, volunteering and advocacy activity, creating accessible and impactful opportunities for alumni to connect with LSE and support the School’s priorities. You will deliver a mix of international programmes, volunteer and advocacy initiatives, communications and events, with a strong digital-first approach and a focus on building meaningful, long-term relationships with alumni communities.

You will work closely with colleagues across PAGE and the wider School, as well as with senior volunteers, alumni group leaders and external partners, to deliver high-quality engagement activity in the UK and internationally. You will also help steward relationships with alumni group leaders, support committee activity and gather volunteer feedback, alongside managing a portfolio of alumni advocates and volunteers, using data and insight to target activity and improve outcomes, and helping shape innovative programmes that contribute to LSE’s wider engagement and Campaign goals.

About You

You will have:

  • Experience of working in alumni engagement, stakeholder or volunteer management, ideally within a higher education or fundraising environment
  • Excellent relationship-building, influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work effectively across a large and complex organisation with colleagues, volunteers and alumni at all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce compelling content and communications for different audiences
  • Strong digital confidence and the ability to use data and insight to inform engagement activity and improve outcomes

We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave, hybrid working, and excellent training and development opportunities.
