Churchill College, Cambridge invites applications for the Frank Hahn Research Fellowship and College Lectureship in Economic History. The Fellowship is intended to support an outstanding early-career scholar pursuing an independent research programme while contributing to the undergraduate teaching in Economics provided by the College.
The successful candidate will undertake original research in Economic History and develop a strong programme of scholarly publication. The Fellow will also participate in the teaching of undergraduates through the supervision system of the University of Cambridge and act as Director of Studies, working closely with the other Economics Fellows in the College. The College aims to admit between 4-6 Economics undergraduate students per year and the Hahn Research Fellow would be involved in their recruitment and selection.
The Fellow will become part of the interdisciplinary scholarly community at Churchill College, Cambridge and will be expected to contribute to its intellectual life through participation in seminars, research discussions, and academic events.
Applicants should hold a PhD in Economic History, Economics, or a closely related discipline, and should demonstrate clear evidence of research excellence. The Fellowship provides significant protected research time alongside defined teaching responsibilities.
