About the role

As part of the Resourcing Team, you will be the first point of contact for new staff relocating to Cambridge, whether from the UK and overseas. What you'll be doing:

  • Coordinating relocation services across the University, including housing, local services and onboarding support.
  • Providing expert relocation advice, including on complex and senior appointments.
  • Managing relocation expenses by reviewing eligibility, processing claims and liaising with Finance colleagues.
  • Using data and insight to monitor relocation activity and support service improvements.
  • Build relationships with HR, Estates and Finance teams across the University.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across Estates, Finance, HR and external partners to enhance the University's relocation service.

We're looking for someone who has/is:

  • Strong understanding of domestic and international relocation, ideally within a large or complex organisation.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Proactive, organised approach, able to balance day to day delivery with long term planning.

  • Knowledge of the Cambridge area including schools, housing and local amenities.

Why join us?

Alongside working in a collaborative and supportive environment, the University of Cambridge offers a range of excellent benefits, including:

  • Development opportunities such as LinkedIn Learning, job shadowing and career pathways.
  • 36 days annual leave (including bank holidays) and a highly competitive pension scheme.
  • Hybrid working with flexibility in how you arrange your office days.
  • A wide range of discounts at local retailers and thousands of national brands.
  • Health and wellbeing support, including discounted gym access and the Staff Counselling Service.
