About the Role
Applications are invited for the post of Institute Strategic Manager for the Barts Cancer Institute, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry.
Reporting to the Faculty Director of Operations and partnering closely with the Institute Director, you’ll be the senior Professional Services lead driving strategy, culture and operational excellence. As a key member of the Institute’s senior management team and Executive Board, you will help define strategic priorities, develop policy, and ensure the effective delivery of Institute, Faculty and University objectives. You’ll lead strategic planning across research, education, finance, workforce, estates and governance; using data driven insight to influence decisions, optimise resources and ensure robust financial and operational performance. You will drive change initiatives, strengthen partnerships, and ensure excellent governance and compliance, while fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture across academic and professional services teams.
About You
Candidates will be experienced, inclusive and collaborative senior leaders with a strong track record in complex organisations, ideally with experience in the higher education sector. You will bring excellent influencing and analytical skills, sound financial acumen, and a commitment to fostering a positive culture that supports the success of staff and students, alongside the ability to translate strategy into effective operational delivery.
