THE POST – REQ000550 - Lecturer in English Language / TESOL

Division of Education for an enthusiastic lecturer and TESOL educator to cover Maternity Leave.

Self-motivated and able to work as part of the Languages team, you will coordinate and teach on our BA (Hons) English Language programme, and work on a range of other University-wide English language courses. You will be involved in recruitment activities, and in developing the curriculum within the School. You will support undergraduate students and will undertake research within one of the School’s research centres, where appropriate.

The successful candidate should have the following:

  • Degree and relevant postgraduate/PhD qualification or equivalent qualification
  • Experience of learning, teaching and assessment within English Language and TESOL education
  • Experience of delivering and developing modules across the curricular area of English Language and TESOL at undergraduate level
  • Experience of hybrid delivery of learning and teaching and of use of authentic/real-world assessment approaches
  • Commitment to delivering high quality teaching and supporting an outstanding student experience.
