Burnley College are recruiting for an exceptional Deputy Principal (Curriculum and Quality) to lead the academic and vocational work of the College, driving the highest standards across all learning programmes and outcomes.
The successful candidate will take strategic ownership of curriculum, teaching, learning and quality across the College, raising standards, sharpening self-assessment, and ensuring all learners experience consistently high-quality teaching and support. You will line manage Vice Principals, act as the College’s nominee for Ofsted inspections, and deputise for the Principal when required.
You will have a degree or equivalent and a recognised full teaching qualification is essential. You will bring to the College successful senior management experience at Assistant Principal level or above in a further education college, with significant staff leadership and budget management knowledge, as well as a deep understanding of 16-19 curriculum, Adult, Apprenticeships and Higher Education.
You must possess or be willing to work towards an appropriate Health & Safety qualification within 12 months and have or agree to successfully complete the Senior Leadership Programme.
