About the Role
You are invited to apply for the position of Research Technician to join Professor James Chalmers’ research team at the University of Oxford.
Professor James Chalmers specialises in translational and clinical research on respiratory diseases, including bronchiectasis, COPD and pneumonia, with a focus on microbiology, immunology, disease mechanisms and therapeutic strategies. You will be expected to provide high quality technical assistance to Prof. Chalmers and the other members of the research team. As a research technician you will play an important role in the day-to-day running of the lab and studies with direct benefit to patients such as clinical trials and patient cohort studies. You will work alongside other research technicians within the group and contribute to the timely completion of research projects including processing of sputum, blood and bacterial samples, biobank use, and other related activities in partnership with the principal investigator, postdoctoral researchers, and other research staff and students.
The post is full time and fixed term for 2 years.
